Another year has come and gone and as we close out 2025 here at Mimi, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our collective progress, celebrate the achievements that shaped us, and extend my gratitude to everyone who has been part of our journey.
This year was defined by continued growth in partner headphone launches featuring Mimi, sustained momentum with strategic collaborations, and groundbreaking product innovation - renewing our commitment to empowering people to hear better and healthier with the devices they use every day.
2025 also reminded us why what we are doing here at Mimi matters. Hearing health is no longer a niche concern, but a global priority affecting how we connect, work, learn, and experience the world. And as awareness accelerates, Mimi’s role at the intersection of hearing science, consumer technology and digital health has never been more essential.
Real people, real hearing journeys
Almost 7 million Mimi hearing tests have now been taken worldwide, forming the industry’s largest database of digital hearing profiles enriched with real-world metadata. Each test represents a person seeking better hearing, clearer sound, or deeper insight into their hearing profile, and we never take that trust for granted.
Besides meaningful insights on hearing as demonstrated with Mimi’s World Hearing Index, this dataset is also a powerful driver of innovation. It enables us to continually advance our technology: training our fitting algorithms, improving the accuracy of our sound personalization, and elevating the listening experiences we deliver to our partners’ users. In short, every single test helps us create more precise and more human-centred hearing optimization for millions of people.
We continue to receive feedback from users whose lives are impacted by Mimi and we are so grateful for everyone who takes the time out of their day to let us know how Mimi has helped them, ideas on how we could improve, or just simply to send us a friendly message and thank-you!
Endorsed by experts and everyday users
Feedback from both professionals and users underscores the real-world impact of our technology. Their voices highlight the accuracy, usability, and value Mimi delivers. These were just some of the many positive reviews we received this year:
"[Creative] Ace 3 has perhaps the best listening test I’ve used on a pair of wireless earbuds. It’s easy to use, not overly long and delivers noticeable results that significantly improve music. Creative’s partnership with audio profiling company Mimi for the buds pays dividends." - Tech Radar By Tom Bedford
“The partnership with Mimi Sound is particularly noteworthy. The Loewe app can be used to create an individual hearing profile that is tailored to personal listening habits and acoustic abilities. This should enable an optimal sound experience even for those with hearing impairments.” - Basic Tutorials
“The app has a sound fit test…I love it. I hear so many details I didn’t notice before.” - Baseus Inspire XH1 headphone user
“While listening to music with the Nothing Ear, especially with the personalized sound profile, I hear details in songs I’ve never heard before. I’ve done a side-by-side comparison to other earbuds I’ve used, and the difference is noticeable.” - Nothing Ear headphone user.
“The audiologist that I see confirmed that my test results in her pro set up matched what I got in the app. What you have built is so powerful and meaningful. This app doesn’t just track data. It empowers patients to act when it matters most. I truly love this app—it has been life-changing for me as someone living with Ménière’s disease. Being able to check my hearing whenever I need to and spot fluctuations in real time has completely changed how I manage my condition.” - Mimi Hearing Test app user
“Thank you so much – thank you for this useful app that saved me a trip to the ENT specialist. Everything is easy to use. I especially liked the practice function for the hearing test. Since I'm one of those people who only became familiar with mobile technology later in life, I'm glad someone thought this through. The integration with Apple Health was also a nice touch.” - Mimi Hearing Test app user
Hearing Number app
Our partners at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health had the official launch of their new Hearing Number app in January! The Hearing Number app was created by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and developed by the team here at Mimi. The app is part of a larger public health initiative to raise awareness about the importance of monitoring, protecting, and optimizing hearing at all stages of life.
Partner achievements
Our partners play the most important role in expanding the reach and impact of Mimi’s products. In 2025, nine partners launched 28 new headphone models equipped with Mimi technology - again more than in the year before. This brings the total to over 80 Mimi-enabled headphones in the market, and personalized sound being available to even more people around the world.
We also worked on solutions compatible with a wide range of System-on-Chip (SoC) vendors, enabling seamless integration across diverse audio platforms. These included Qualcomm, Airoha, BES, Bluetrum, JLi, and WuQi.
An exciting new collaboration this year was also with RTINGS.com, the respected independent product testing platform. Through this partnership RTINGS.com will provide Mimi with high-quality headphone measurement data. This allows us to expand the number of supported headphones for the Mimi PTT Hearing Test. In turn, our integration partners and their users benefit from a continuously growing portfolio of accurately supported headphone models.
Brand and product repositioning
The first few months of the year were all about bringing the Mimi brand into a new era. An era defined by hearing intelligence and inspired by the growing demand for personalized, accessible, and health-aware consumer technology. We undertook a full repositioning project to better reflect who we are today and where we are headed. As Mimi has evolved into a comprehensive technology partner, delivering scalable hearing intelligence solutions that adapt to different users, devices, and environments, so must the way we communicate our value, purpose, and vision.

Product innovation and achievements
Innovation remained at the heart of our work throughout 2025. Some highlights included:
The official launch of Mimi Voice Clarity
We had the official launch of one of our newest products, Voice Clarity, which is helping manufacturers deliver clearer, more intelligible speech experiences to their users. It enhances real-time speech clarity based on several modules including AI-powered processing, making conversations easier to follow even in noisy or challenging environments. First partner products with this technology will be hitting the markets in Q1 2026, and we are very excited for more people to be able to experience it for themselves.

The first Mimi-enabled earbuds with Mimi PTT hit the market
January marked the launch of the Creative Aurvana Ace Mimi, the first earbuds to integrate Mimi PTT hearing test. The product resonated strongly with both consumers and reviewers, earning five ‘Best of CES’ awards, and was widely praised for balancing affordability with advanced features and impressive sound quality.
Bringing personalization to open-ear listening with Skullcandy
In the summer we saw the launch of the Skullcandy Push 720 Open, the first open-ear headphone with Mimi Sound Personalization. Reviewers responded enthusiastically. As Tom’s Guide noted:
“There is also a personal sound test that you can take on the app to get the most out of the buds, and I recommend doing this as soon as you get your hands on them… I loved how rich the song sounded with the personalized setting. The personalization brought forward more of the instrumental track and completely elevated the music.”
Mimi for Smart Glasses
We have expanded our portfolio into one of the fastest growing categories in consumer electronics: smart glasses. Built on more than a decade of Mimi research and powered by edge AI, our solution enables real-time audio adaptation to an individual’s hearing profile and enhances speech intelligibility during in-person conversations, while preserving awareness of the surrounding environment. We look forward to showcasing this at CES in January!
