This excellent Nothing Ear feature changed the way I listen to music – and made me judge earbuds in a whole new way
"Nothing, feature one of the best – dare I say the only truly good – sound personalization mode in earbuds I've ever test...What the Nothing Ear has taught me about my hearing has actually changed the way I value different music – and the earbuds I use."

Nothing Ear vs Nothing Ear (a): how do Nothing’s 2024 earbuds compare and which should you buy?
"The Nothing Ear distinguish themselves from the Ear (a) in a few minor ways and one major one; the latter is the excellent sound personalization mode. Basically put, you can conduct a short hearing test and afterwards, the buds will compensate for the nuances in your own hearing to balance music for you. It’s really a game-changing way of enjoying your music better – and I don't say that lightly."

Nothing Ear Review: These ANC Wireless Earbuds Are My Favorite Anti-AirPods
"I’d done the sound profile in the past and was maybe slightly underwhelmed with the results, but I did it again and noticed a fairly big difference between the Ear pre-hearing test and post. Nothing Ear review
"The Nothing X app has a few unique offerings that accommodate both audio enthusiasts and those with little knowledge of sound…. This is also where you’ll find the personal sound profile feature, which conducts a hearing test to determine how well you can hear high frequencies and adjust the sound accordingly. Nothing partnered with Mimi Hearing for this feature, a company that produces a hearing test app certified for medical devices. I preferred the earbuds’ sound with the personal sound profile enabled, which isn’t always the case with these kinds of features."

Nothing Ear and Ear (a) review: Living with them since launch
"Where the Ear really sets itself apart is with software. In the Nothing X app, you can get much more control over the EQ, and there is even software built into the app to help personalize the sound profile to your hearing. This mode basically plays sounds at lower and lower volumes, and once it figures out what frequencies you struggle to hear, it boosts them. It’s subtle but a nice touch."
