The Nothing Ear distinguish themselves from the Ear (a) in a few minor ways and one major one; the latter is the excellent sound personalization mode. “I’d done the sound profile in the past and was maybe slightly underwhelmed with the results, but I did it again and noticed a fairly big difference between the Ear pre-hearing test and post. This mode basically plays sounds at lower and lower volumes, and once it figures out what frequencies you struggle to hear, it boosts them. It’s subtle but a nice touch.”
